Diamond cutting - How it works
Diamond cutting is an engineering process where a
specific profile ie: (the alloy face) is programmed into a
lathe machine. Whilst the wheel is turning at very high
speed a diamond tip is corresponding off the programmed
profile and a small fraction of the aluminium is being milled
from the face of the wheel. This creates a highly polished effect
which we then apply a durable and flexible self etching clear coat
to protect the aluminium from harsh elements such as brake
dust, tar, salt and stone chips, and most importantly leaving that
ultimate high gloss finish.
Popular vehicles with diamond cut alloys include:
Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Mercedes, Porsche, Toyota, Vauxhall and Volkswagen.
